Stuut, a startup automating accounts receivable workflows for enterprises, has raised US$29.5Mn in a Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Activant Capital, Khosla Ventures, 1984 Ventures, Page One Ventures, Vesey Ventures, Carya Venture Partners, and Valley Ventures. The funding comes as businesses seek to streamline a traditionally tedious and manual process that can cost companies up to 5% of EBITDA due to inefficiencies.

Founded by Tarek Alaruri, Ben Winter, and Miraj Mohsin, the team behind Stuut brings a strong track record. Tarek and Miraj are both second-time founders, with Miraj—a Bangladeshi-American—having previously founded Pixlee TurnTo, which was acquired by Emplifi.  Stuut replaces manual accounts receivable processes with an autonomous system that connects to CRM and ERP systems, bank data, and communication channels. The platform tracks invoices throughout their full lifecycle, communicates with customers via email, SMS, or phone, resolves disputes, and learns customer behavior to optimize collections.

The platform claims that customers can reduce overdue balances by 40% and cut manual AR tasks by 70%. PerkinElmer, a billion-dollar medical device company, reported a decrease in overdue invoices from 50% to 15% within a year of using Stuut, freeing cash flow to support expansion. Honeywell also reported faster collections and improved operational efficiency after utilizing the platform.

Seema Amble, partner at Andreessen Horowitz, shared that Stuut stands out by replacing repetitive tasks rather than just speeding them up, and that the results so far have already demonstrated clear ROI. Steve Sarracino of Activant Capital added, “Stuut is redefining AR as an autonomous system of intelligence that learns, executes, and compounds value over time.”

Alaruri believes, “every business in the world needs to collect money and no one’s doing it efficiently.” With its Series A backing, Stuut aims to transform how companies manage receivables, making the once thankless task faster, smarter, and more effective.
