Oraseya Capital, founded in 2023 and headquartered in Dubai, is the venture capital fund of Dubai Integrated Economic Zones (DIEZ), investing in technology startups from pre-seed to Series B. The firm focuses on the UAE and the broader MENA region, with particular attention to startups that have existing ties to Dubai. Oraseya Capital manages a fund of AED 500Mn, equivalent to roughly US$136Mn, and backs companies across fintech, edtech, digital health, SaaS, artificial intelligence, logistics, and e-commerce. The fund is chaired by Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, who also leads DIEZ, and includes Partner Julien Plouzeau, who has worked in the UAE startup ecosystem since 2012 and oversees portfolio management across stages. Its portfolio of more than 60 companies includes Calo, RemotePass, Silkhaus, NymCard, and Ziina. Oraseya Capital was named the UAE's most active investor by MAGNiTT for two consecutive years and received Entrepreneur Middle East's Venture Capital Firm of the Year award in 2025.
