Montra Joins Antler Singapore Cohort 20
Newsletter
Bangladeshi fintech startup Montra has joined the latest cohort of Antler Singapore, one of the world's most active early-stage venture investors. Founded by Qareeb Ahsan and Kaif Shiam, the company is currently participating in Antler's Singapore residency as it continues developing its payments infrastructure platform.
Antler has made over 1,300 investments across 27 cities globally and is known for its 'Day Zero' approach — partnering with founders before launching through co-founder matching, business model validation, and initial capital.
Montra is building infrastructure that enables AI systems to complete transactions autonomously. While AI can now handle most business processes, payments still require human intervention — Montra aims to close that gap, allowing software and AI agents to execute payments end-to-end.
The programme is helping the team address constraints they faced while building a global platform from Bangladesh, including access to international networks and potential early customers. Within their first three days, the founders had already connected with businesses ready to use their services.
"For founders building in Bangladesh, especially at the early stage, looking beyond the region isn't optional anymore — it's mandatory," said co-founder Qareeb Ahsan. "If you want to build something truly impactful, you have to think globally from day one. Programs like Antler help founders step into that mindset, connect with global networks, and start building companies that are meant for the world."
